A Quiet Weekend on Pender Island

Note: We could hear the wave crashing. Can walk over to Brooks Point. Incredible views and grassy cliff feels like we're not in BC. Access to a beachy area that Miles played in.

Note: Walk along marina, next to Poets Cove Resort & Spa

Note: short hike (steep but not hard) to a viewpoint.

Note: Easy loop walk around Roe Lake

Note: 1km trail to the top, wide and well maintained trail but is fairly steep, 30min or so. looks like an amazing viewpoint at the top

Note: We went just before Sunset on Saturday - we had the whole area to ourselves. It was so quiet and peaceful. Picnic tables and Miles played in the water. Roesland is a lovely seaside park with an arbutus- and Douglas-fir-covered islet, a nice place to spend an afternoon. It only takes about 15 minutes to walk to the end of Roe islet, where you’ll find bench to rest on. This is a good spot to watch the sunset from.

Note: For the fall: Saturdays 12-4 pm, Sundays 11am-3pm Tastings available. Very friendly. Bought a bottle of Homestead and Late Season.
